I am doing a review of a complete conversion modification of the hit game Star Wars: Empire at War called "Republic at War." The original game was excellent, but people felt like it was missing something. Then a group known as z3r0x came up with an idea to convert the Rebellion and the Empire to the Republic and the CIS (Confederacy of Independent Systems). It doesn't have the campaign mode of the original, but it has a great Conquest. It has an overall bigger galaxy, with more planets, like Bakura, Mechis 3, Trandosha, Antar, and Duro. The graphics have been improved on, as well. The details on the ships are very accurate to the movies and cartoons, and the lasers look like lasers instead of red and blue teardrops. This mod is a must download if you are a fan of real time strategy games or if you're a big Star Wars fan. I give it my Stamp of Approval. 20/20.
Hey, people! I haven't done a post in a while, but I am here to tell you about this nice place called High Scores Arcade. This place is an ARCADE MUSEUM!!! (you have to say this in a loud booming voice). It's located on Coruscant- I mean in Alameda, right by a mini golf course and a vintage game store, if you're interested. The place is $5 for 1 hour, and $10 for the entire day. What a steal! At the arcade, there are a lot of those machines with a bunch of games. I think that this is a good way to provide variety with your games, instead of just Atari Star Wars, Frogger, and Joust. Those games are awesome though Mother and I played completely different games. We played absolutely nothing with each other, except MORTAL KOMBAT!!! (starts singing theme song) Ahem. We also played Double Dragon together (We sucked, Just being honest, Mom!). I decided to torture myself by playing the arcade version of Battletoads. It was hard, but I kind of expected that. I lost to Sagat in the original 1987 Street Fighter (yes, I got to the end. Geki was the hardest, and a Hadouken is impossible to pull off without being killed by the hyper intelligent A.I. We then played Final Fight. We did significantly better. I played as Guy (Wow, what a creative name). Mom introduced me to Tempest. I didn't get it. I really didn't get the concept, and I've played dozens of Atari games (I've noticed that a lot of them have to do with space). Overall, this is definitely worth your time if you have an off day, or if you just feel nostalgic at that very hour. This post is for Mr. Brewer. This is my last Science Experiment for Montera Middle School. I will turn in the worksheet on Thursday 6/5. Goal:
Observations
Notes:
The Egg did not splatter as much as I thought it would. The Cup I used may have not been the best idea for a container. I liked the experiment. It would have been better if I actually completed it in class. The Formulas were difficult to find from home. I will do better and pay more attention. The Middle is a show about a tired Mother and Father with 3 kids: Axl, Sue and Brick (chuckle): Brick loves to read, has old people for friends and people think he's "weird." Axl is a jock in college and not that good a student Sue is the "middle child" and she is forgotten ... alot. She tries to be noticed but epically fails. The parents are Frankie and Mike. Frankie is a loving mother who wants whats best for her family even though they drive her crazy. Mike is tired and the boss of a quarry. The show is pretty awesome and here's why: 1. Most of the hilarity comes from when Frankie freaks out. 2: Even though Sue is ignored, she keeps trying Hey! I have a lot of explaining to do. I have life to deal with, like school, interviews, and a Let's Play with 3 episodes and counting. My upcoming blogs are: Top 10 TV Shows that are Not On The Air Anymore (5-1) Top 10 Super Smash Bros. Characters. Review: Sonic the Hedgehog (Genesis) Review: Pokemon Emerald (GBA) Cosmos reviews Why I Don't Like Call of Duty Stay tuned.... OOOOOOOHHH! In October, my Mother and I went to the San Jose Tech Museum. Once there, we went to the Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination exhibition. We got our tickets for $22. $22! A little expensive for museum tickets, but our tickets were for the actual museum and the exhibition. We saw different ships, models, and a gun and Light Saber display. In the exhibit, there were movies on how technology was used to create ships to move like the Millennium Falcon and the Luke's Land Speeder. There were different experiments in there for kids to play with. One was about a Maglev train and how it works. We were able to build a Maglev train out of Legos. That was pretty cool. After that, I saw a probe droid model. One of the coolest things was a robot that senses your movement! How cool was that? My mom liked the exhibit about Prosthetics there was an interactive activity for that. It was pretty cool. I recommend this exhibit to anyone who likes Star Wars, or anyone who likes Science because of the experiments. Its in San Jose, though, so you have to plan. The Exhibit has been extended through March 23, 2014. YOU'RE RUNNING OUT OF TIME!!!!!!
On December 14th, I went to the Brothers Code event at Laney College in Oakland. The 2 hour free event was sponsored by the Kapor Center, the College Bound Brotherhood, and the Hidden Genius Project. There were about 50 other Boys there. I saw a couple kids from school. During the first hour, we met a lot of people who worked for different companies, including the guy who makes the ads on YouTube (Grrr). The different professions we learned about included Manager, Funding, Programmer, and Designer. A lot of people wanted kids to be able to write code. The second hour was part of the National Hour of Code Week. President Obama sent a message about how he wanted us to learn to code! That was pretty cool. It teaches kids how to write lines of code. Later, we did coding puzzles with Angry Birds. The whole point of these puzzles was to teach kids that coding is not difficult. Did I mention that it was FREE! I still can't believe the President sent a video.
I hope you are informed thoroughly. Stay Awesome! My Mom wanted me to write a bio. I didn't want to. She is making me post a poem about me that I wrote in class I guess so you all know about me. This is against my will I am a Gamer I play vintage games The controller feels like an extension of my hands I am a leader I lead a club in the yearbook I help people learn about games I am a critic Who reviews games and movies on the internet and on camera I am Gyromite76 The Game Boy Advance is a second model for the Game boy Advance, released in 2002. It was the first game system with a rechargeable battery (saved us hundreds on Duracell brand batteries, I might add), and was still compatible with the GBA equipment, like the Multiplayer Cable. In 2004, another add-on for the Game Boy Advance SP, which was a wireless adapter that came packaged with Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen. This allowed players to trade Pokemon without a cable. It also allowed trading between Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, after meeting certain conditions in FireRed or LeafGreen. I actually LOVE this system, mainly for its library of games, like Super Mario Advance, Klonoa, Pokemon, Kingdom Hearts: Realm of Memories, and Mega Man: Battle Network. You can find these handhelds at a vintage game store. I hope you enjoyed this blog! *Starts playing Pokemon* |
