The Game Boy Advance is a second model for the Game boy Advance, released in 2002. It was the first game system with a rechargeable battery (saved us hundreds on Duracell brand batteries, I might add), and was still compatible with the GBA equipment, like the Multiplayer Cable.

In 2004, another add-on for the Game Boy Advance SP, which was a wireless adapter that came packaged with Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen. This allowed players to trade Pokemon without a cable. It also allowed trading between Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, after meeting certain conditions in FireRed or LeafGreen.

I actually LOVE this system, mainly for its library of games, like Super Mario Advance, Klonoa, Pokemon, Kingdom Hearts: Realm of Memories, and Mega Man: Battle Network. You can find these handhelds at a vintage game store. I hope you enjoyed this blog!

Man! I think I can actually remember when these first came out. Feels like forever ago. Good thinking on the batteries -- I wouldn't have even thought about that!

Cool Post! Do you find it difficult to find some of the games for this version of Game Boy?

Keep pounding out the reviews Ken. The world is watching.

Add more screenshots and links to either YouTube walkthroughs or Wikipedia articles. Help us love these games as much as you do!

Best,

Greg

The world can't watch us, since it doesn't have eyes.

I will do the second thing.

Fair enough. The global community of 14+ billion people of whom only 2 billion are on the Internet are potentially watching.

That's still 4 billion eyes (give or take for the visually disabled).

Wow, 2002 is vintage? I'm feeling a little ancient right now. Well organized writing by the way.
